A scatter plot is just one style of chart-making in Excel. If you find that you need more flexibility in the presentation, you can right-click on the chart and select Change chart type .
The procedure to create a scatter plot in Excel is as follows: Select the data across both the columns (from A3 to B12). Go to Insert > Scatter Plot. Select the appropriate Scatter Plot chart.
Launch the Excel 2010 spreadsheet that holds the scatter plot you want to adjust. Click anywhere on the chart, then click the "Layout" tab that appears at the top of the Excel window.
