Google has a new version of Google Maps for Android users, with v6.7 delivering indoor walking directions for stores, entertainment venues and other locations that have shared floorplan information.
Touted to be supported by "any platform" (i.e. Web, Android, iOS, etc.), the new API will provide a link between developers' apps and the Maps Engine for editing geospatial data.
The indoor walking directions are currently only available in the United States and Japan. Google Maps for Android v6.7 is available now for free from the Google Play Market.
