Initially, though, you won’t see durable functions in the portable Azure Functions runtime; Microsoft plans to support them later. For now, durable functions require Azure services to operate.
Microsoft recently announced that Azure Durable Functions support for the new storage providers, Netherite and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), is generally available.
Microsoft also announced the 2.0 GA release of its Durable Functions product, which is an Azure Functions extension that supports stateful functions in a serverless compute environment.
