Announced at WWDC 2025, a new spam detection feature in iOS 26 in the Messages app will flag texts from unfamiliar numbers in a separate folder for Unknown Senders.

Starting today, the new spam detection solution will be integrated into Vi infrastructure and will analyze incoming SMS messages using AI algorithms trained on millions of examples.
