Node Package Manager (NPM) is installed on your Windows computer once you install Node.js. It is a package manager for modules of Node.js, and it’s ready to run on your Windows PC.

So if you install Node.js you can use npm. However, if you do decide to use the version of npm bundled with Node.js you cannot update it using the npm@latest command.
