You still get to invite up to 10 Java Edition friends to join your private Realm server, 24/7 access to that server, and three World Slots, but Java Edition does not support Minecraft Marketplace.

Be careful in caves--there are many monsters. Minecraft Java edition does not have a friends list, so you can only join the same server as your friend or invite them to a Realm using their gamertag.

Ask the host for an invitation. Once the invitation has been received, click on the “Join” button. Select the “Proceed” option. Enjoy playing the game in the same Realm as the host.
