Android 16 is potentially redesigning the volume slider and panel UI, moving away from the thick, pill-shaped sliders introduced in Android 15 to thinner, continuous sliders with distinct handles.

The source managed to activate the new slider by tweaking some things in the Android 16 DP2 code. That said, there’s still no guarantee that the redesigned volume slider will make it to Android 16.
