At the time, the typical way to view images in 3D was with cardboard-stock anaglyph glasses—the type with different-colored lenses: one red, the other green, cyan, or blue.

Set View to Front by selecting View, then Front or using the axis gizmo on the upper right side of the main window. Depending on your setup you can also press 1, or ~, then select Front View.
