Excel’s built-in Python support should simplify the workflow. According to Microsoft, users can add Python code to a spreadsheet without leaving the Excel interface.

In a blog post, Microsoft stated there will be no need for any extra setup to add Python code to Excel. Users can just use Excel's new PY function to type in Python code in an Excel cell.

Microsoft 365 Insiders can check out a new version of Excel in Windows that now includes the Python Editor inside the app. It will also continue to be available as an add-in via Excel Labs.
