To enhance the safety of railway bridges built on rivers and ensure the safer operation of trains, a water level monitoring system has now been installed at 20 major railway bridges in the zone.

The North Eastern Railway has installed a new sensor-equipped water level monitoring system on the Rail-Road Bridge No. 18 over the Ganga River in Ghazipur to ensure the safe operation of trains.
