Most of the time, the ecosystem matters much more than the language. If I need something like Django's admin, I'm going to use Python, even though it were a project where otherwise I'd prefer Java.

That said, languages like Ruby handle this elegantly enough, and the perfect language terminates statements with parentheses anyway, more elegant tools from a more civilized age and all.
