Click OK. In the “New ASP.Net Core Web Application” dialog window, select .Net Core. Select ASP.Net Core 2.1 as the project’s version. Select “Web API” as the project template.

Click Create. We’ll use this ASP.NET Core 6 Web API project to work with the minimal hosting model in the subsequent sections of this article.
