It lets you open multiple instances of File Explorer within the same window, where you can open different folders, similar to how browser tabs work. It’s one of my favorite Windows 11 features.

As previously stated, File Explorer tabs come with the Windows 11 22H2 update; hence, if you don’t have an updated version of this on your computer, you wont get the Tabs in Explorer.
