Oracle announced a language server tool for Java developers using Visual Studio Code to provide language-specific 'smarts' in the super-popular, open source-based, cross-platform code editor.

Oracle has released the Oracle Java Platform extension for Visual Studio Code, bringing full-featured Java development for Maven and Gradle projects to Microsoft’s popular code editor.

It supports Language support for Java by Red Hat, Debugger, Java Test Runner, Maven Project Explorer, and more. This extension is really a whole package for Java developers.
