The Samples tab is rolling out now to YouTube Music on Android and iOS and will be widely available globally for both free and Premium users. Add 9to5Google to your Google News feed.

That said, I could then hit the "Home" tab at the bottom and resume what I was playing. It works, but the addition of Samples does change a few of the app's expected behaviors.
