Jacksonville University is launching a new program aimed at protecting sea turtles and their coastal habitats. The new JU Sea Turtle Program was announced on Monday, which is World Sea Turtle Day.

Kimberly Escalante is the education coordinator for the Turtle Hospital, and she works to bridge the gap between the beach and the classroom.
