However, what Python is great for, is writing quick code that performs useful functions. This makes it a popular in-house tool among many security firms, data analytics companies, and the like.
Each language has its place. Neither is perfect for every need, although Python is closer than Java to being a one-size-fits-all language. But I happen to be as big a fan of Java as I am of Python.
The resulting code is likely to be shorter and clearer. Here's another way to think of this: Consider the lines of code as an attack surface for bugs. Fewer lines of code means less attack surface.
