U.S. Department of Justice attorneys filed a nine-page document opposing a request by environmental groups for a temporary restraining order to halt operation of the facility.

Human resources minister Steven Sim said the affray had caused consternation among the people of Bukit Mertajam and operators could lose their licences if order is not maintained.
