Construction of the island’s largest solar farm to date can move forward on a 627.6 acre parcel off Cross Island Road in Yona, with the Public Utilities Commission approving the project.

The project is a joint venture with Nan Inc., with in-water construction expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2025 and completion expected by July 2029, according to Tutor Perini.
