If you need to convert that file from CSV to JSON, you can do that with the csvjson command like so: csvjson clients.csv > clients.json Csvkit has a couple of other handy tricks up its sleeve.

The CSV file that I had handy was a KiCad-generated BOM file. Those are semi-colon separated, but miller has an option for that. It turns out there is a flaw in the BOM files.

Opening CSV files using spreadsheet software is a straightforward process. In Excel, click "File," choose "Open," and locate your CSV file. That's all there is to it.
