The Stargate GraphQL API now enables developers to create tables and define schemas in Apache Cassandra without the need to work directly with Cassandra Query Language (CQL).

The way I like to say it is this: GraphQL permits flexible queries within the framework set by the developer who built the API. SQL permits universal querying on any database model.
