The Chicago Fed National Activity Index ("CFNAI") rose to -0.28 in May from -0.36 in April, according to data released by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago on Thursday.

The Richmond Fed Manufacturing Index continued to stay in negative territory in June, but slightly improved to -7 from -9 in May, the Richmond Fed said on Wednesday.
