To stay ahead, the high-tech industry works to develop ever more advanced encryption algorithms and increase encryption key sizes. Classified government information typically needs to remain ...
Encryption would normally be expected to slow down computation, but applying the tools of cryptography to "trick" an algorithm can actually make it work faster By Alex Wilkins 4 March 2025 ...
Researchers at FIU's College of Engineering and Computing have developed an encryption algorithm to defend videos from attackers with access to the world's most powerful computers.
NIST announced three of the four proposed quantum-resistant encryption algorithms this week: CRYSTALS–Kyber, CRYSTALS–Dilithium, and SPHINCS+. The fourth one, FALCON, might be released next year.
NIST first asked for contributions around creating and testing an encryption algorithm that could hold up against attacks from emerging (but potentially powerful) quantum computers back in 2016.
