Select the files in File Explorer (you can hold Ctrl on your keyboard while clicking to select multiple files). Right-click any of the selected files and hover the mouse over Compress to.

Open Windows Explorer by pressing Win+E on your keyboard. Select any one of the folders or files you want to select. Now press the Ctrl key and keep selecting the files/folders you want to select.

Now, whenever you mouse over a file, a check box should appear in the left column. Select multiple files, then drag ’em wherever you want, tap the Delete key, or do whatever else you need to do.
