The Florida Python Challenge is a 10-day competition to remove invasive Burmese pythons. The competition raises awareness of the threat these snakes pose to the Everglades ecosystem.
This is not the first time this year that a python has been seen at an Oxford beauty spot. Back in April, a large snake was spotted at Port Meadow by a dog walker, who asked not to be identified.
